My Old Toys

Here’s one more extra from my interview with Now Playing Podcast host @TheArnieC.

Toward the end of the interview, I thought I’d toss out a couple ideas for future retrospective series’ and get his take. I’m sure the Now Playing hosts probably get these requests every day, but I couldn’t resist.

So here are his responses to my retrospective series suggestions:

G.I. Joe

Arnie: “We are seriously looking at that, because as bad as that first movie was, come on, this new trailer [for G.I. Joe: Retaliation] looks pretty good.”

Paranormal Activity

Arnie: “I personally would love to do the Paranormal Activity films, just because we have something called the ‘Now Playing Curse,’ where almost every franchise we review, we kill.”

“[Co-host] Stuart did a review of the first one on our Facebook page and said he could save money, stay home, and turn the lights on and off all by himself.”

Now, if you know me, you know I couldn’t leave it at that without throwing out one more suggestion:

Fast and the Furious

Arnie: [pauses] “That’ll happen.”

Awesome. Maybe after Fast Six? You never know. Now Playing hasn’t released its schedule beyond July, but I did ask Arnie about the rumors that a certain spy series could be their next big target.
